@Noun @Pryl-o-man. Wow I had no idea this was an actual potential problem. Is this only a worry for that section of the hike and not in other sections? From other "cabin" trails I've done in the world I just assumed that you don't need tents if you sleep in cabins every night.

Last time I was around kebenekajse the temperature went from +16 to -2C with heavy snow and no visibility. This was in early August!

I don’t know how much experience you have so I would recommend a simple emergency shelter.
You don’t need advanced or heavy shelter, 200-300g.

How many are in you group?

Yes, you have to be prepared for snow, temperatures around 0C degrees and heavy winds.
A windsack that is big enough for the whole group is not a bad idea.
You absolutely must have clothes and rain clothes to be allright in 0C degrees and horizontal rain. Weather change quickly.
The most important (and most reliable) thing in the forecast is the wind!

And since we talk about security.. parts of your hike will be with no phone connection so don't expect phones to work! But if you want to have the best phone connection you should get a SIM-card from Telia or some company that uses Telias network. They have the best connection in the area.

@Noun wow really. How fast does that happen? And does it clear up? We're 3 people in the party, hiking during the first half of August.

The weather changed within an hour. We ware stuck four hours before we could continue hiking.
Everything was wet and we ware cold so we decided to hike to Kebenekajse station to dry our clothes.
