In 1983, Greg Bardin and John Goldsberry headed to Australia
and New Zealand for some ski racing. Not ready for the real
world, the two decided to stop over in Fiji for a little surfing and
guava juice drinking. Upon arriving in Fiji, they were immediately
swarmed by hoards of natives screaming "BULA! BULA!". At
first, they were a little freaked, but they soon realized this was
simply a friendly greeting in Fijian.
After returning to their homes in Colorado, they hooked up with
their friend Chip White. Mix two ski racers and the Fijian vibe and
you get the BULA ATTITUDE. The attitude is Go Big! Laid Back
Lifestyles! Just a little on the bent side.
Today BULA is one of the leading knit and fleece headwear
manufactures in North America. The Attitude has helped Bula
grow from a garage operation to a world-class headwear and
