Digital Kamera i PolarGränsen

hej allihop!
ska åke upp till Abisko för en 7 dagar längskidor tur och ska sover ute i tält hela tiden.
undrar om vad ska händer till minn Nikon D70s i minus 30.
har nårgra frågar på engelska.
Alla tipps är valkommen o tack in advance(?).

has anyone had experience with gear in these constant temperatures?
will the camera break?
will any parts stop working?
is condensation an issue?
any tips or pointers for me?
all is much appreciated and thanks in advance

Hi,
Except for the cold (I don't know the limitations of a modern camera) you will get problems with condensation if you take it inside your tent unless you have it stuffed in a bag, until it slowly is warmed up, but that will take time.

I did read somewhere about a trick of putting the camera in an air tight tight transperant plasic bag to decrease the amount of air it is exposed to, that way the moisture in the air will get condensed on the outside of the bag but you could still operate your camera, hence check battery life or delete photos from your memory card... I don't know if it works, or is useful..

Another idea, ask Nikon ;-)

Extreme cold drains batteries in general.
The LCD display might fail.
