City navigator v 9 icke NT

Sedan 12 december kan man köpa uppgradering av CN v 9 för NT men den gäller enligt Garmins hemsida bara apparater i den sk teknikfronten, Nüvi och sånt.

När får vi i arriärgardet något nytt att orientera oss med? Vi som har lek- och plasksäkra apparater och sådana med överstora skärmar etc.

Den nationella distributören i gränszonen mellan Walloniet och Flandern vet nada.

Jag tror att garmin vill att man skall köpa ny gps med minnes kort! Sedan dom slutatde med city select så är kartdelarna alldeles för stora för dom gamla gpserna! Och jag tror nästan alla med minneskort klarar NT kartor. Kanske inte e-trexserien?

Jag har för mig att ex.Garmin 60CSx ska fungera med CN NT Europe v9. MEN för att vara säker o att slippa vänta tills dom (förhoppningsvis?) släpper uppgraderingen,CN Europe v9 så har jag mailat Garmins kartavdelning:

Hello,

So long as you have version 8 of City Navigator Europe NT then yes, you will be able to update to version 9, however if you have a previous version of the traditional mapping then you'll have to wait until April.

The differences are many and mostly under the hood but the obvious ones are higher compression and a full post code database.
NT stands for New Technology and is the "strain" of mapping used by our new range of units that are powerful enough to use it, like your 60CSx for example.

If you're not sure which strain you're using mail me back the serial number of your unit and I'll dig up its unlock dbase.
