trekking between Abisko and Nikkaloukta

I did walk the trail in mid-June two years ago. That season the melting period came late and the spring flood had yet to come. We could not go in some areas that we had wanted to go to (areas that where in areas surrounding the trail, on higher levels), as all areas above 1100 m where still very much covered with rotten snow.
The hardest part where some 6 km through rotten snow crossing the Tjäktja passage (the highest point on the trail). But it wasnät to bad, though it made us a bit wet.
If you hold to your dates, and if the forcast points to lots of remaining snow, you could consider to get snowboots (like theese: http://www.jakto.se/fileArchive/max_fuchs/!600x600/!39205.jpg).
