Jag har nu beställt en ny 60CSx och ett 512-kort, hoppas få hem den innan helgen, sen efter lite testande så avgör jag vad som händer med den gamla 60CS och vad som ska ingå vid en försäljning.

1. If i Buy the 60CSx do I need to buy a new version of City Select or can I use the version I have now? Or is there any advantages to uppgrade to a new version more than that it has just upgraded maps, or do I get anything more than that? More funktions or so with the CSx?
A: You can register an additional unit with your mapping software.
Please go to the following Garmin web link
http://www.garmin.com/unlock/ select (unlock your mapsource cd). Then enter as a returning customer and you can add an additional unit. Follow the steps as instructed.
With The software that you have you get two licenses so you can use with two units. Any additional units After the two have been used up will require a third unlock code which can be purchase by following the instructions above.
2. What will happen if I decide to keep the old 60CS and buy the 60CSx.
Today I have the MapSource and maps installed on both my stationary PC and my laptop. Is it possible to use both GPS without anu fuzz with MapSource detecting that I try to load maps to more than one GPS?
A: Yes you can use with both units if you have the correct unlock codes.

3. What if I decide to sell my 60CS and the City Select Europe V6 to a friend, and then buy a 60CSx and the newest City Select E fo my self. Will my friend have any problem with installing the MapSource and City Select E
V6 on his PC and getting it to send maps to my old 60CS? Will he need any new regsistration code or so for that?
A: We can not generate new codes because of the licensing. You can apply to us to change over the registration. just send us an email with your details.
4. I hope that the new 60CSx will be availabel in a package with the latest City Select Europe, but withouth the Car Kit. Because I alreaddy have the Car Kit with bean bag dashboard holder and 12V charge cable.
A: European mapping is not sold as a stand alone product in Europe, Only as a car kit for handheld units. The automotive kit is not supplied with the unit. You can easily upgrade the current mapping that you have. This will be updating the original licence for the first unit that you have. Then you can register an additional unit. If you want to sell your original unit i would suggest selling it with the mapping/mounts and reflect this in the price.
Its cheaper to purchase a car kit than the mapping on its own.
5. Is there any base map in the 60CSx?
A: The BaseMap is built into this product, and cannot be changed. World wide there are three BassMap areas, Americas, Atlantic and Pacific. The country in which your GPS is purchased dictates the mapping installed on the GPS.
If you buy in the USA you will get the Americas Highway basemap, this includes the United States, Alaska, Canada, Mexico, and Central and South America, and covers an area from W180 to W30 Longitude, S60 to N75 Latitude.
Also included is a high-level worldwide map with political boundaries and major cities.
If you buy in Europe you will get the Atlantic Highway basemap includes Europe, extreme western Russia, Africa, and the Middle East, and covers an area from N75 to S60 Latitude, W30 to E60 Longitude. Also included is a high-level worldwide map with political boundaries and major cities.
If you buy in Asia or Australia you will get the Pacific Highway basemap includes Asia, Australia, and Oceania, and covers an area from E60 to E180 Longitude, S60 to N75 Latitude. Additional detail is included for the islands of the South Pacific and covers an area from W180 to W135 Longitude, S60 to N25 Latitude.
And is there any internal memory at all in the 60CSx, as in the 60CS 56MB.That can be loaded with maps by the user. Or is it just the memory card?
A: no internal memory, only a base map.
will the 60CSx be copatible with newer larger capacity memorycard versions when they come, than the one there is to day?
A: I have no information about this, from the specs it looks like 256mb is the max card for the unit.
