Jörn boots, ok with strong legs/calf?

Hi all, I hope you can forgive me for writing English. I am looking to get in line for a pair of Jörn boots, the traditional model.

However, I have really massive calfs. It is hard to tell from pictures whether this is a problem. Do they stretch out somewhat to adapt your leg circumference, or will that look and feel silly, like they wheren´t made for it?

I have already heard that the maker is not open to customer contact, so I assume it is pointless to ask them for a pair made to fit. Hence my question here, I hope somebody can answer it. Thank you very much. :)
 
Hi seobserver, that sounds almost too good to be true! I thought it went more like “we will receive 20 pairs in may 2022, take or leave”.

Really impressed to hear that you actually enter the waiting list with measurements. I suppose then, that one can also ask for the very red-ish leather colour shown on some pictures?

Can anyone confirm that Jörn boots are such a custom made item?

Yes, Jörn makes custom made boots.

However the waiting list is sometimes really long.
Jörn is a small company, about three people working there, and sometimes they get battalion size orders from the Swedish or Finish army and such an order takes them at least a year to produce.

The deep reddish color comes out when you apply the fat-tar mixed proofing. The color will grow deeper through the years.
