Nature

It goes without saying, that we can't predict excactly what we will encounter when it comes to topography and road surface conditions, but from the experiences we have, this is for sure: Big wide plains, covered with gravel, sand and smaller rocks. Sometimes deep sand. Highland swamps and lots of smaller streams. At times bigger rivers and lakes. At some points we will have to cross some higher passes. In the beginning of the journey we will encounter steep, difficult hills and possibly difficult river valleys.

The flora is restricted to harsh grass and at streams and lakes clumps of reeds and some swamp flowers.

Fauna. Antilopes, wild ass, lemmings, marmots and gazelles are quite common and smaller populations of wild yak, wolf and bear. Some sources claim there are still some snow leopards in the area. Birds of prey, ravens, crows and other smaller birds are common all over the plateau.
